In this paper we study the stability of steady solutions for the magnetohydrodynamic equations in a bounded domain of R 3 .We obtain a class of steady solutions in the Lebesgue space L 3 σ × L 3 σ , which are exponentially stable.In particular, we prove the existence of fast decaying strong solutions for the non-steady magnetohydrodynamic equations.
