Entrepreneurship is one of the main drives of the economic growth, a phenomenon with important positive externalities and a key issue in both academic research and the definition of industrial organization policies. One of the most important aspects is the definition of the necessary skills related to entrepreneurship success. This empirical study analyzes the observed differences in the level of skills related to entrepreneurship considering a sample of students taking a Master of Business Administration depending on whether was their previous educational background, from the field of engineering or social sciences. The statistical tools applied show evidence for significant differences in two basic skills: be alert to business opportunities and creativity depending on the previous academic track, the values for students coming from engineering degrees are higher to the ones coming from social science.
