As a result of the unceasing technology revolution that societies have experienced in recent history, software has redefined people's lives, and at the same time, it has been object of recognition as an intellectual creation in the scope of protection given by copyright.The following article focuses on the main licensing models used in the market of mass distributed software.With such purpose, these agreements are analyzed upon the relevant norms within the Colombian legal system, as well as the international instruments regarding these works.
