Summary Forty‐one neotypes and one lectotype are designated for palms described from Colombia, the types of which were destroyed at B. Most neotypes come from the original type localities. Three new combinations, with basionyms in Euterpe , are made: Prestoea brachyclada, P. dasystachys and P. latisecta. Comments on synonymy are given for most species.
