En el presente trabajo se intenta precisar el origen del termino “consenso”, sus implicaciones y alcances a la luz de la doctrina del derecho natural clasico. Se intenta demostrar como el uso moderno de la palabra “consenso” se encuentra totalmente separado del concepto de verdad. Se efectua un analisis de los principales autores contractualistas y neocontractualistas confrontando sus teorias con las de algunos representantes del iusnaturalismo contemporaneo. Abstract In this work, I will try to state accurately the origin of the word “consensus”, its implications and its connotations, enlightened by the doctrine of classic natural law. I will try to demonstrate how modern use of the word “consensus” is totally separate from the notion of truth. An analysis of main contractualism and new contractualism authors is done; and their theories are compared with those belonging to some authors which represent contemporaneous iusnaturalism.
