La medicina predictiva surge como consecuencia del interes en senalar, cuales van a ser las enfermedades que el individuo va a presentar en el futuro. Su motivacion es prevenir, en la medida de lo posible, estas enfermedades y desarrollar nuevas propuestas terapeuticas con el objetivo de garantizar la dignidad humana, tomando en cuenta el ambiente y el entorno sociocultural. El diagnostico genetico preimplantacional, para buscar alteraciones cromosomicas y geneticas en el embrion, antes de su transferencia a la madre, permite identificar a aquellos embriones libres de algunas anomalias cromosomicas o mutaciones geneticas. Se plantean reflexiones acerca de la importancia cientifica y tecnica de estos procedimientos y su valoracion etica. Es de senalar que alguno de ellos son invasivos y pueden llegar a generar conflictos de valores. SUMMARY Predictive medicine appears as consequence of the interest to be able to determine which are going to be the diseases that the individual is going to present in the future. Its motivation is to prevent, as far as possible, these diseases and to develop new therapeutic proposals with the aim to guarantee the human dignity, bearing in mind, the environment and socio-cultural context. Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis, in order to find chromosome and genetic disorders in the embryo before transferring to the mother, allows identifying those embryos without chromosome disorders or genetic mutations. Reflections about the scientific and technique importance of these procedures and their ethic evaluation are considered. It is important to indicate that some procedures are invasive and could generate conflicts of values.
