A great number of authors tackled the sustainability of energy systems, without covering enough the three sustainability pillars, because of the lack of a model able to provide sufficient vision of the more common power plants. Recent development of a new assessment model applying the MIVES method, allows comparing the main power systems according to the three sustainability criteria, giving the results below reported.
