Se trata de un estudio que tuvo como objetivo identificar y analizar los factores de estres en el trabajo referidos por 129 psicologos clinicos. El analisis de las respuestas se realizo mediante la tecnica del analisis tematico o categorial. Fueron identificados los factores de estres en la profesion del psicologo clinico como: bajos beneficios economicos, sobrecarga, la poca autonomia y reconocimiento, esfuerzos y recursos fisicos, agotamiento emocional, relacion con los companeros, pacientes y autoridades, deficiencias organizativas, politicas publicas, directrices gubernamentales y compromisos con la profesion. Fueron verificados cambios en los factores de estres laboral de los psicologos clinicos derivados del aumento de la remuneracion de los profesionales. Se discuten alternativas para prevenir y reducir el estres en el trabajo de los psicologos clinicos. Abstract To identify and analyze stress factors in clinical psychologists such as positions of low financial gain; those overloaded with work, and with low autonomy and recognition; those implementing great physical efforts and resources; those under emotional distresses; in relationships with coworkers, patients and managers and with organizational deficiencies; and unable to adhere to public policies; government directives; and commitments in their career. 129 clinical psychologists were polled and the responses were analyzed through a thematic or categorical analysis technique, as addressed in this study. Changes in occupational stress in clinical psychologists were observed and alternatives to prevent and to reduce clinical psychologists’ occupational stress are discussed.
