From some previous diagnostic analysis of the cocoa's value chain Theobroma cacao, made at national and regional level, the document considers the results of a participatory workshop in which a production and commercialization diagnosis of the cocoa products production, and also the main difficulties and challenges facing producers in a region heavily affected by social problems and a lot of potential in its production. Key findings include the need to strengthen the infrastructure (especially transport and quality of public services), by supporting the consolidation of a cacao's origin denomination and specified requirements, by strengthen the culture associated with cocoa and keep afroculture and also by accompanying associative entrepreneurship in the region.
