What would be a good practice in Physical Education classes in Brazilian public schools? This question motivated the project that created this document and allowed the immersion into the routine of a very well-known Physical Education teacher.  Here is presented an interpretation of  what is thought to be (from the research) evidence of a good teaching practice in the field of Physical Education, having as analytic support the career of professor Mercedes.  Classroom observations by a team of collaborators were made, and, fundamentally the recordings of four interview sections: two with the teacher and two with the school's pedagogue. The objective was connect the trajectory of the teacher to the development of her classes based on the diagnosis that her community recognized her as an excellent teacher. &nbsp
