The aim of this article is to explain the reason of the violation of expression and communication freedom in the Venezuelan opposition has been the main reason for its relative silence in the last ten years. In the first part, the ways and the motives will be exhibited explaining why these freedoms have been violated by the Venezuelan government; in the second part, the main thesis will be argued more deeply, analysing various texts which talk about this problem and explaining its implications as in the political actors involved as in the polarized Venezuelan society. At last, the pertinent conclusions will be done, according to the developed aspects in the investigation.
