Matoneo en las instituciones educativas privadas de la ciudad de Santa Marta: identificando a las victimas. Bullying in private educational institutions of the city of Santa Marta: identifying victims. Resumen El articulo presenta resultados de una investigacion de tipo cuantitativo, de cohorte trasversal, cuyo objetivo fue identificar y describir la presencia del fenomeno bullying en un colegio de Santa Marta, donde un total de 156 estudiantes con edades entre 13 y 17 anos, fueron encuestados para identificar el grado de exposicion a la violencia en su modalidad fisica y verbal en el contexto escolar. Los resultados permitieron identificar que el 66,7% de los estudiantes han estado en contacto con la problematica del “Matoneo”, mientras que solo el 31,9% respondio que lo han agredido fisicamente. Mientras el 81.4 % ha sido victima de violencia verbal. La situacion amerita que las autoridades escolares realicen actividades que permitan generar espacios que mejoren la convivencia escolar, y la intervencion de los factores asociados a este fenomeno, una problematica, que no se puede ignorar y sobre la cual se debe intervenir. Abstract The bullying is a problem that has always existed, but in recent decades has reached alarming dimensions within educational institutions in Colombia, for this reason the Law 1620 of 2013 arises in an effort to improve relationships within schools. There is still so much to understand about a problem that has its own dynamics within institutions. In order to understand these dynamics, at a school in Santa Marta, a total of 156 students aged between 13 and 17 years, were asked to identify the degree of exposure to violence on physical and verbal modality in the school context. The results allowed to identify that 66.7% of the students have been exposed to the problem of while only 31.9% said they were physically assaulted. While 81.4% had been victims of verbal violence. The situation requires that school officials conduct activities to create opportunities to improve the school environment, and the intervention of the factors associated with this phenomenon, a problem that can not be ignored and which should intervene.
