This item is the dissemination of research results entitled “The notion of fraction as a ratio: a proposed classroom for deaf children”, developed in the framework of basic education degree with an emphasis in mathematics from the Universidad Distrital (Bogota). This research aimed to encourage and support the development and understanding of the fraction in its interpretation as a ratio in a group of fifth grade students who are deaf, management from the design and evaluation of a teaching sequence, which is methodologically from concrete theory of didactic situations. The most relevant results of the investigation referred to potential graphical representation of call for deaf students as the solution strategy proposed fundamental situation.
