Through the solutions of the Bogoliubov-de Gennes equations we investigate the effect of the anisotropy of the pair potential on the differential conductance of N–S–I–N (N: normal metal, S: superconductor, I: insulator) junctions. We find oscillations in the conductance which in the isotropic case coincide with the Tomasch effect. The influence of different pair potential symmetries on the transport properties is analyzed in detail. In particular, different s-symmetries (isotropic, anisotropic, extended) and d-symmetries are considered.
