La inteligencia emocional de los estudiantes del grado once de una Institucion Educativa de Envigado. The emotional intelligence of the 11 th grade students of one educational institution of Envigado. Resumen El articulo presenta resultados de la investigacion dirigida a identificar el perfil de la Inteligencia Emocional como emocion positiva, presente en un grupo de 24 adolescentes (hombres y mujeres) del ultimo grado escolar (grado 11) de una institucion educativa de caracter privado, en Envigado (Colombia). Se aplicaron dos instrumentos que la evaluan: la prueba MSCEIT y las dimensiones del auto-informe TMMS-24, y contrastar las diferencias de genero. Los resultados indicaron que la IE para todos los adolescentes se encuentra en nivel competente, contando con algunas diferencias de perfil relacionados con el genero. Palabras clave: inteligencia emocional, psicologia positiva, adolescencia, MSCEIT, TMMS-24 Abstract This investigation is in the context of positive psychology (PP) and positive emotions (especially emotional intelligence) that are present in a teenage group of 11 th grade of high school at Envigado, Colombia. The general goal was analyzing the profile of the emotional intelligence by applying two different tests. MSCEIT and the dimensions of the auto report TMMS-24.The results suggest that the emotional intelligence for the whole group of teenagers is in a suitable level, and also gender differences are reported in both of the used tests; showing different strengths, depending on the gender.
