Based on the REBUT (Renovation of Evidence-Based University Teaching)strategy, this paper addresses the didactic problem of the educational renewalof teaching/learning regarding university teaching staff for undergraduatephysics programs. The support strategy and pedagogical innovation ofREBUT is based on the collection of evidence on the specific deficiencies in theteaching/learning of a particular teacher, and can be relatively easily documentedwhilst running simultaneously with the development of the course.Whilst the evidence is collected, it is analyzed –together with the teacher– andthe data is evaluated throughout a whole semester, then, a specific plan of innovationis proposed, implemented and evaluated in subsequent semesters. The steps and ingredients of the collection of evidence are described, some ofthe evidence collected is discussed, and elements of pedagogical innovationare proposed, taking into account the existing institutional guidelines.
