The objective of this article is to present an approach to a logical formalization of collective rural action that makes it possible to measure change dynamics intensity in a productive system as a consequence of the synergy of social capital structures working towards a common goal. To this end I have identified and quantified the various forms of social capital that emerge from the social actors linked to a horticultural productive system. I conclude that the relations of cooperation and trust, the level of organization, and the informal institutions are expressions of social capital that, in their synergistic state, make it possible to advance common objectives within a productive system and take the shape of an index.
