It tries to outline some guidelines to consider in the political and social intervention aimed at the population in a situation of forced displacement, from the understanding of the meaning that has inhabited the territory before posting, for people who have settled in cities Cartagena, Barranquilla and Santa Marta, and how this determines the desire to want to occupy territory after their status as displaced persons in these cities, noting the advances and setbacks, which in the socio-cultural theme has been the process of violence in some cities on the Caribbean coast of Colombia and taking as the common thread underlying social imaginary land around it. The article presents results of research on the socio-cultural imagery territory of the population in a situation of forced displacement, whose information was collected through readings of context, mind maps and interviews with samples of different people were displaced as children, youth, adults and seniors, residents of both sexes and at the time of the study in the cities mentioned. He was central to know the memories, experiences and aspirations on the territory of these people and the meaning on it.
