Este articulo ofrece una aproximacion al primer momento militar de la independencia en la Nueva Granada entre 1810 y 1816, que ha sido poco estudiado en comparacion con la Campana Libertadora de 1819. Se buscan los nexos que existieron entre la subordinacion y organizacion de tropas regulares y de milicias en el interior del virreinato, haciendo una pequena mencion del desarrollo de dichos cuerpos armados. Tambien se analizan las circunstancias politicas que condujeron a la construccion del Estado de Cundinamarca y la federacion de las Provincias Unidas de la Nueva Granada, que organizaron sistemas militares diferentes, los cuales se enfrentaron en dos ocasiones entre si y lucharon contra los realistas en diversos lugares, hasta que dichos cuerpos fueron derrotados en la gran invasion de 1816. Regular Army and Militia during the Patria Boba in New Granada, 1810-1816 This article offers an approximation to the initial military movement towards New Granada’s Independence between 1810 and 1816, which is seldom studied in comparison to the attention paid to the Campaign of Liberation in 1819. We look for connections between the subordination and organization of regular troops and militias within the viceroyalty, making some reference to their development. We also look at the political circumstances that led the to construction of Cundinamarca State and the federation of the United Provinces of New Granada, which organized different military systems, which fought each other two times, and fought the royalists in different places, until, finally, these military groups were defeated in the Great Invasion in 1816.
