El propósito de este texto consiste en explorar la historiografía colombiana producida en el siglo XX sobre “Las Mujeres en la Independencia”; con el fin de identificar las imágenes, representaciones y discursos, a los que apelaron los historiadores al idearse las categorías de: “Heroínas”, “Mártires” y “Realistas”. La historia vista desde la perspectiva de los estudios de género, brinda herramientas analíticas, teóricas y conceptuales que ayudan a visibilizar y deconstruir la historia femenina y su participación como sujeto político. Women´s Roles Within The Independence: From Colombian Historiography Abstract The purpose of this paper is to explore the Colombian historiography produced during the XX century about “Women within the independence”; in order to identify the pictures, roles and speeches that historians resorted to, for creating the categories: “Heroines”, “Martyrs”, “Realists”. History from the gender studies perspective provides analytical, theoretical and conceptual tools that allow visualizing and discovering the female’s history and their role as a political character.
