Logistic activities inside a hospital are present in different work areas, and are designed to support other health care related activities. In some hospitals, logistic activities are planned based on the experience of people that are directly involved in them, which leads to question if this is or not, the best way to carry out the planning process. The mixed-integer linear programming model proposed in this paper, is a tool for finding new shift and routing designs for dirty linen (DL) collection in one of Bogotapsilas (Colombia) largest public hospitals, satisfying resources availability constraints and hygiene related conditions.
