One of the most important phenomenon throughout the first decade of 21st century is the Turkish economy rising, which has shown a remarkable performance and GDP growth. A strong macroeconomic strategy combined with prudent fiscal policies and structural reforms since the first year of this century has integrated Turkey into the globalized world, transformed its economic structure and made it one of the major recipients of foreign direct investment in this region of the World. Nonetheless, the next challenges of Turkish economy are strongly related with internal politic environ- ment and its accession to EU, which is defined by this group capacity to assimilate and weight an emergent economy accession risks and benefits, in particular Turkey, with average per capita income lower than EU per capita income, but attractive by its 75 million of possible consumers with a six-fold increased income in the last years.
