In view of the important role of landscape in the formation of our character, spirit, and stimulus to creativity, which has not yet been recognized in our field, a contribution to the consolidation of the cultural identity in our country is called for from disciplines concerned with landscape design. In this article we collect and go through references and concerns of various authors, especially Colombians, and we stress the need to continue working on this subject. As a conclusion, some possible activities are outlined about the relation “landscape and cultural identity”.
