CdS thin films were deposited on ZnO and SnO2:F substrates by the Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD) method, varying the solution's pH between 9 and 11. The samples were characterized through transmittance and AFM measurements. It was found that the transmittance and the morphological properties as well as the growth rate of the CdS thin films are significantly affected by the solutions' pH. Good results were obtained using pH values between 9 and 10.
