A new simple two-axis magnetometer has been developed, based on the superposition of an amorphous ferromagnetic disc over a disc-shaped piezoelectric support. At low frequencies, this device exhibits a sensitivity of ~1.7 µV/µT when the external magnetic field is orthogonal to one of the pick-up coils.
