This text presents a reflection about research concerning production and circulation rutines of the news, starting from theoretical principles of the sociology of the communication, besides the practices linked to the newsmaking phenomenon.Since diverse areas in which these studies have been accomplished (EE.UU., Europe, and Latin America), defines the principles, methodologies and reaches that maintain the existence of a theoric line and research in the field of communication.
