The findings of the study of the Eden cave (Cunday, Tolima) are reported. in relation to the isolation of Histoplasma capsulatum as agent of a former outbreak of histoplasmosis among visitors to the cave. The agent was isolated from 8 out of 27 samples of soil and bat's droppings obtained incide the cave. The cultures of liver, lung and spleen from 100 out of 233 cave's bats dwellers. belonging to 4 genera, were negative for H. capsulatum.
