This paper presents the development of a module to monitor the general state inside of an artificial beehive. The physical variables that directly affect the health and production of the population were identified with its optimal ranges to stand surety for the stability of the bees. This document illustrates why the selected sensors to read these variables were chosen, how the information is acquired and how it is processed to be presented to the final user. Finally, all the elements of the module were successfully tested. All the events were registered in a text file, transferred to a pen drive and displayed over a liquid crystal display (LCD).
