This paper entails an approach to the situationof the legal recognition of minorities in Europe,taking into account the legal structures thatemerged after the Second World War. It reviewsthe development of this subject in the Europeansystem of human rights, focusing in particular onthe European Court of Human Rights as well ason the activities of other European organizations.
