The increase of non-linear loads in the supply network, specifically the proliferation of harmonic type loads are research topics. This paper presents the results of some simulations for the harmonics mitigation in distribution systems at the point of common coupling (PCC). This mitigation strategy was centered in the implementation the different phase shifting transformers with 30 degrees apart for the electrical feed of harmonic loads. The models of nonlinear loads and phase shifting transformers are implemented and studied in ATP-EMTP. The simulations for the study cases are performed on an IEEE test feeder 14 nodes. The simulations show a reduction of the harmonic levels in electrical distribution systems, specifically at the point of common coupling with the installation of Phase shifting transformers with connections Dy1, Dy11 and Dz0 and similar harmonic loads.
