The geography of tourism, as a branch of human geography, analyzes tourism and its multiple relationships to territory. The themes and approaches to the phenomenon of tourism have varied over time, going from a descriptive view to an analytical and comprehensive approach. In this context, the article analyzes those issues from a theoretical-methodological perspective, and then goes on to define, both quantitatively and qualitatively, the themes and paradigms used to approach these issues in Argentina's scientific tourism magazines. Results show that the majority of articles are based on a traditional geography of tourism, with descriptive rather than analytical and critical studies.
