Through Italo Calvino’s whole work – which presents fiction, essays, letters – the italian writer has always been worried about the relations between the non written World (commonly called “the World”) and the written World (which finds its 13 manifestation on Literature), in each of his writing project searching to give incisively the written world a style, as well as to become himself an imaginary author. So at this paper our aim is to show how that calvinian search is allied to his six purposes in order to renew written language against what himself calls “the plague of language”.
