Among the proposed solutions to few problems found in ad hoc networks, topology control can ensure a proper battery consumption, to avoid interference between the different nodes in the network and controlling the effect of the low transmission capacity that some nodes may show. This paper presents the results of tests using several scenarios with different transmission power levels, designed and implemented with OMNeT++. It assessed the average consumption of energy by the nodes, the network frames with interference, the average of backoff and the number of frames received. This allowed seeing the positive impact of the use of topology control on the network.
