Partial amino acid sequences have been determined for three type I and two type II helical segments constituting a major part of the helical fragments obtained by partial proteolysis of S-carboxymethylkerateine from wool. There were few differences in the N-terminal sequences of the segments of the same type, as compared with about 70% difference between different segment types.
