This research took place in the Costa Rica School IED, located in the locality of Fontibón, in a period comprehended between 2014 and 2015; with the participation of 28 students from ninth grade, with whom, a diagnostic about environmental attitudes, and a pedagogical intervention were applied, with the objective of strengthening the construction processes of an environmental culture, through four routines of environmental thinking, such as observing, questioning and communicating.This paper is intended to answer the urgent need for a change of paradigm that guides the future citizens to behave in a more conscious and responsible way with their environment, recognizing the importance of the school in a formation centered in competences that allow our children and youngsters face the present challenges.This research was developed under a qualitative approach, with a design that obeys to the criteria of the Pedagogical Action Investigation with a descriptive reach, through which, it was achieved an approach to the construction dynamics of the school environmental culture, particularly in the classroom.
