This article proposes an alternative solution to the mathematical model of nonlinear DC electronic circuits, using an optimization algorithm. In this case, the original Particle Swarm Optimization and one of its modifications were used. A DC-DC Buck converter was used as a demonstrative example, increasing the number of equations by adding loops with a nonlinear characteristic. The results are verified against a traditional multidimensional Newton-Raphson, obtaining answers with good quality, in terms of accuracy and precision.
