This paper analyzes the feasibility of providing mobile Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) DVB-T2 services in urban areas of Colombia with the infrastructure that is to be deployed for providing fixed TV services. Both multiple physical layer pipes and the mobile profile T2-Lite have been considered. The evaluations performed in the city of Bogota with the network of the public broadcaster RTVC reveal that it will be possible to provide mobile DVB-T2 services due to the fact that the DTT networks have been designed to provide portable indoor reception in urban areas.
