Two patients developed diabetes insipidus during or following the administration of demeclocycline hydrochloride. The data suggest that this antibiotic interferes with the action of antidiuretic hormone in the renal tubule. Both patients recovered their urinary concentrating ability one week after therapy was discontinued. (<i>JAMA</i>229:676-677, 1974)
