Abstract:

This paper presents an operational transconductance amplifier that uses current mirrors to add a feedforward path in order to do frequency compensation with no miller capacitor. A gain enhancement is achieved because the use of current mirrors reduces the number of the conductances that are connected to the output, increasing output impedance. Simulations results for the designed circuit in UMC 180 nm CMOS process show a DC gain above 60 dB, with a unity gain frequency of 547 MHz, a phase margin of 52° and a power consumption of 4.83 mW while has low variations in regard to PVT simulations.
