This paper presents a design and application of a laboratory practice in which the stroboscopic photography technique was used to record the fall of spherical and cubic bodies. The experimental results were compared with three theoretical models (spheres). Also, from the values obtained from cubic-shaped objects we approach the formulation of its theoretical model. In theoretical models for spherical bodies the two types of drag forces corresponding to a well-defined range of the Reynolds number and pushing force are contemplated.
