La Escuela de Ingenieria de Antioquia (EIA) tiene establecido dentro de sus ejes de formacion el desarrollo del espiritu emprendedor. En razon de ello, el area de Emprendimiento identifico la necesidad de promover la cultura emprendedora en la comunidad, para lo cual se requeria, en primer lugar, hacer el diagnostico de su existencia. Inicialmente, se realizo un recorrido teorico con el fin de homologar los conceptos de cultura, espiritu emprendedor y cultura emprendedora, lo que permitio identificar los seis componentes del espiritu emprendedor que se evaluan: forma de pensar, razonar y actuar centrada en las oportunidades; consideracion del riesgo; creatividad e innovacion; generacion de valor; proactividad, y busqueda de informacion. Estos componentes fueron analizados a partir de encuestas y entrevistas en profundidad, para identificar las percepciones que sobre ellos tenian los integrantes de la comunidad, lo cual dio como resultado que la comunidad EIA posee dichos componentes en diferentes niveles de desarrollo. Se recomienda como trabajo futuro efectuar el diagnostico periodico de la cultura emprendedora a fin de validar los avances en su desarrollo. Abstract: Escuela de Ingenieria de Antioquia (EIA) has established the development of the entrepreneur spirit as one of its formative axis. Therefore, the Entrepreneurship area identified the need to promote the entrepreneurial culture on its community for which it was required, in the first place, to do the diagnosis of its existence. Initially, a theoretical journey was carried out with the purpose of endorsing the concepts of culture, entrepreneur spirit, and entrepreneurial culture, which allowed the identification of the six components of the entrepreneur spirit to evaluate: form to think, to reason and to act centered in the opportunities; consideration of the risk; creativity and innovation; value generation; proactivity, and search of information. Then, these components were analyzed starting from surveys and interviews in depth, to identify the perceptions of the members of the community. The result of the diagnosis was that the EIA community has those components in different levels of development. It is recommended as future work to perform periodic diagnosis of the entrepreneurial culture in order to validate its improvement.
