En el presente trabajo se muestra como la simbiosis de dos disciplinas, ingenieria de software y tecnicas ultrasonicas, hizo posible el desarrollo de un sistema de ensayos no destructivos para formacion de imagenes TOFD, que ademas permite independizar la aplicacion respecto de las herramientas para computo comerciales. Se ilustra la incorporacion de tres algoritmos al sistema y se prueban mediante el examen a una probeta metalica que contiene un defecto visible. El nucleo del sistema es una tarjeta de ultrasonido controlada por medio de una aplicacion para computador disenada en .NET Abstract: This paper shows how the symbiosis of two disciplines, software engineering and ultrasonic techniques, made possible the development of a nondestructive testing system for TOFD imaging, and it also allowed to make the application of commercial computation tools independent. It illustrates the addition of three algorithms to the system, and they are tested by examining a metal cylinder containing a visible defect. The core of the system is an ultrasound card controlled through a computer application designed in .NET.
