This is an analysis of the meaning of action research as a strategy for the development of didactics of physics. We show the pros and cons when it comes to implementing it in the design of the didactics of physics, understood as the discipline that deals with everything related to the teaching and learning physics. Hence, the gains that the teacher obtains when carrying out the Action Research.
