Fecundity: A value that comes in and out of modernity. Resumen En el municipio de Envigado, la mujer es reconocida por su fecundidad, los monumentos como representacion del patrimonio historico lo divulgan a diario, lo curioso es que estos mismos no reconozcan la fecundidad de la mujer en un ambito que no sea el materno. El articulo quiere demostrarle al lector que el arte si esta al servicio del poder politico y que las mujeres si pueden ser fecundas, aun cuando la eleccion que hayan tomado con su vida no involucre a la maternidad. Abstract In Envigado, women are recognized by her fecundity: monuments as the representation of patrimony of history say it daily. What’s curious about the situation is that they don’t commemorate the fecundity of women in life, besides motherhood. This article wants to show to the readers that art is at the service of political power and women can fecund, even if motherhood is not the choice of their life.
