This work emphasizes the importance of the landscape as a tourism resource, approach that has been takenfrom the environmental perspective. From this point of view the role of landscape is not only being seen as analyticalcomponent but also as territorial management tool. The landscape perceptions as an object of visual consumption of theterritory evidence its change value, as well as an active resource for the tourist activity. Base on this it is conceive as animportant tool for the development of alternatives in the process of planning and tourist management. Se destaca la importancia del paisaje como recurso para el turismo, aproximacion que se ha desarrollado bajola perspectiva de la dimension ambiental. Bajo este horizonte, el papel del paisaje ha dejado de ser visto unicamente comoun componente de caracter analitico, para asumirse como una herramienta de gestion territorial. Su percepcion comoobjeto de consumo visual del territorio, evidencia su valor de cambio a manera de un recurso activo para el desarrollo de laactividad turistica. De esta manera, es concebido como una herramienta clave para el desarrollo de alternativas en losprocesos de planificacion y gestion turistica.
