Resumen: El reto que Colombia asume en 1991 al cambiar de tipo de Estado, de uno Moderno o de derecho a uno Social de derecho, le impone deberes que suponen un cumplimiento inmediato como unica via para lograr sus fines. El mencionado cambio es necesario en todas las instituciones que componen la sociedad y entre ellas es primordial atender el tema de la educacion. Con este articulo se pretende mostrar las tendencias que Latinoamerica ha presentado para asumir los retos de nuestra civilizacion actual, como parte de la investigacion que se encuentra en su etapa de presentacion de proyecto denominado “DIDACTICA Y ENSENANZA DEL DERECHO EN LAS UNIVERSIDADES DE MEDELLIN”, liderado por quien presenta a ustedes este escrito.
