One of the ways how the Goverment has tried to keep the weapons monopoly has been through the provision of incentives to insurgent groups to promote the abandonment of these. The Article describes and analyzes the economic incentives offered by the Colombian government, between 1990 and 1994, tomotivate the guerrilla demobilization (individual and collective). To achieve this goal, it is done a comparative analysis of the economic stimulus in the final eight peace agreements signed in the analysis period, where it is evidenced the effort that the country has been made to build a system of incentives that pass to consideronly legal and individual aspects to the granting of a wide variety
