This contribution is about the question of the difference between ethics and morality. In the first part, the author presents the reasons why contemporary philosophers are lead to distinguish the two terms. Then, the article shows how a distinction between ethics and morality can deepen the thought of the human act. Finally, the author presents a critical evaluation of the two great traditions of moral philosophy: the teleological one and the deontological one. He attempts to promote a new way of thinking attentive to «contextualization» of human action being concerned with «margins», «subalterns» or «voicelesses». This way of thinking allows to consider the problematic in another way, proposing, notably, to make the difference between immediate ethics and immediate morality, but also, between prolonged ethics and prolonged morality.
