El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo estimar la prevalencia de Factores de Riesgo Cardiovascular como la Edad, la Presion Arterial Sistolica y Diastolica (PAS y PAD), Indice de Masa Corporal (IMC), Indice Cintura/Cadera (ICC), Porcentaje de Grasa (%GC), habito de Tabaquismo y Sedentarismo y la influencia de estos sobre el Indice de Colesterol Total (CT)/Colesterol de Alta Densidad (HDLc) en la poblacion del Departamento del Huila. Metodo e Instrumentos: Estudio descriptivo transversal; se evaluaron 111 personas de ambos generos, entre 35 y 74 anos, del Departamento del Huila. Muestra no probabilistica, se aplico el IPAQ Corto; toma de tension arterial y frecuencia cardiaca en reposo; mediciones cineantropometricas segun estandares internacionales de la ISAK. El efecto de los factores de riesgo cardiovascular sobre el CT/HDLc se midio con el cuestionario FRAMINGHAM – SCORE. Resultados: IMC de 28 ±5,5 (Sobrepeso); el ICC presento valores de riesgo de obesidad visceral 0,85 en mujeres y 1 en hombres. El %GC fue de 21,5 ±3,7 (encima del promedio para hombres y por debajo del promedio para mujeres). El 73,9% no practica actividad fisica. Los valores de CT, HDLc y CT/HDLc segun Edad y Genero alcanzaron niveles de riesgo para CT/HDLc ( 5); el CT fue alto en toda la poblacion, mientras el HDLc presento cifras de riesgo en mujeres y en hombres 55 anos de edad. Segun el habito de Practica de Actividad Fisica, se encontraron cifras mas bajas de CT, HDLc y el CT/HDLc en los sujetos que refirieron ser Activos. Abstract This study aimed to estimate the prevalence of cardiovascular risk factor like Age, Systolic and Diastolic Blood Pressure (SBP and DBP), Body Mass Rate (BMR), Wrist/Hip Rate (WHR), Fat Percentage (%F). Smoking and Sedentary Lifestyle Habit, as well as their influence on the Total Cholesterol (TCR)/High Density Cholesterol (HDC) Rate on the population of Huila. A cross-sectional descriptive methodology was used. 111 people, including men and women, aged between 35 and 74 were selected and evaluated. Using non-probabilistic sample, it was applied an Short IPAQ; blood pressure was measured and heartbeat at rest was monitored. Cineanthropometric measures according to international standards of ISAK. The effect of the cardiovascular risk factors on TC/HDC was measured using the FRAMINGHAM- SCORE questionnaire. The most outstanding results are the following: BMI of 28+ 5,5 (overweight); the WHR showed visceral obesity risk values of 0,85 in women and 1 in men. The F% was of 21,5 + 3,7 (over men average and below women average). 73,9% of people evaluated did not practice any physical activity. The TC, HDC and TC /HDC values according to age and genre, reached risk levels for TC /HDC ( 5); TC was high in all the population, while HDC showed risk values in men and women 55 years old. According to the Physical Activity Practice habit , it was found lower values of TC, HDC and TC/HDC in subjects considered as physically active.
