El Manejo temprano del subdesarrollo del maxilar superior de pacientes en denticion mixta ha sido ampliamente discutido en la literatura. Para su tratamiento se han propuesto diferentes alternativas entre las cuales se incluye la utilizacion de la mascara facial de Delaire, cuyo objetivo es realizar una traccion por medio de elasticos que van insertados a un aparato de anclaje intra-oral. Se presenta en este articulo el diagnostico, tratamiento y seguimiento de una paciente de 10 anos de edad que fue tratada con la utilizacion de dicha tecnica. ABSTRACT The management of patients in the mixed dentition with maxillary hipoplasia has been widely documented. Among the different treatment modalities, the use of the Delaire facial mask has been documented by different authors. This article presents the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of a 10-year-old female patient treated with said technique.
